When the World Went Virtual.

When COVID-19 suddenly pushed businesses into remote work, virtual meetings, online communication, and entirely new ways of operating, AAYS wasn't learning virtual business for the first time. We had already been doing it for years. That experience let us help businesses navigate a transition that felt completely unfamiliar to many owners and organizations. We supported clients as they adjusted operations, communicated with customers, managed changing priorities, and figured out how to continue serving people when business as usual was no longer possible.

At the same time, virtual assistance became much more widely recognized. An industry that once required us to explain what a virtual assistant was suddenly became part of mainstream business. AAYS continued to grow, but our experience had already taught us something important: Virtual support isn't simply about where someone works. It's about whether a business can trust the people working behind the scenes.

Built Before Virtual Became the Norm

AAYS began in 2014, long before remote work and virtual business support became commonplace. At the time, asking a business owner to trust someone they might never meet in person with important parts of their operation was still a relatively new concept. There was no pandemic forcing companies online and far less familiarity with virtual teams.

Trust had to be earned. AAYS grew by learning our clients' businesses, being responsive, following through, protecting their reputation, and becoming the kind of support they could depend on behind the scenes. Over time, what began as virtual assistance evolved into something much broader: a business support agency capable of helping owners and leadership teams with the many moving pieces required to operate, market, serve customers, and grow.

Growth Hasn't Always Been a Straight Line

More than a decade in business has also taught us that entrepreneurship rarely moves in a straight line.

Coming out of the pandemic brought another set of challenges. Operating costs increased. Wages increased. Businesses became more cautious about spending. Clients changed direction, restructured, downsized, reevaluated what support they could afford, and some even closed.

We experienced those realities too.

At one point, the business had to make the difficult decision to reduce its team and rebuild its operating model significantly. It was one of the hardest chapters in our history, but also one of the most valuable.

We became more intentional about the services we provide, the clients we serve, how our team is structured, and more focused on where we can create the greatest value.

Today, we operate differently than we did several years ago.

We are leaner, more experienced and more strategic.

Coming that close to losing something we had spent years building changed the way we look at business. It made us even more passionate about helping other business owners find their footing, identify the right next move, and keep going when the path forward feels unclear. We know what it feels like to be overwhelmed by change, to question what needs to happen next, and to have to pivot quickly in order to survive. That experience has made us more determined than ever to be the kind of support businesses can lean on when they are trying to grow, rebuild, restructure, or simply figure out how to get from where they are to where they want to be. We don't approach growth from theory alone. We understand the weight of the decisions behind it, and we bring that perspective into every client relationship.

Why Customer Experience Matters So Much to Us

Marketing can get someone to notice your business. A great website can convince them to contact you. Advertising can generate the lead. But none of those things can compensate for a customer who feels ignored, dismissed, confused, or poorly treated.

That is why customer experience has become such an important part of AAYS. After years of working behind the scenes with businesses, Angela has seen firsthand how often the smallest interactions determine whether a customer stays, leaves, returns, refers someone else, or tells others about a bad experience.

Customer service is not an old-fashioned business concept. It is the heart of the business.

Technology will continue to change. AI will change how companies communicate and operate. Marketing channels will come and go. But people will always remember how a business made them feel.

Through consulting, training, marketing relationships, and everyday client work, AAYS helps businesses protect that part of their reputation—because attracting customers means very little if the experience that follows drives them away.

One Relationship. A Team of Support.

Angie's At Your Service does not operate like a freelancer marketplace. Our team works together consistently, communicates regularly, and operates under a shared process and standard. All client work remains overseen by the owner.

BUILT TO FLEX

Your support can change as your business changes. You may need help with one area today and broader back-office support tomorrow. AAYS is structured to meet businesses where they are rather than forcing every client into the same model.

TEAM-SUPPORTED

We are a trusted team that collaborates behind the scenes across Executive support, HR and Recruiting, Marketing, Sales and Customer Service, and other client needs.

FOUNDER-LED

Angela remains directly involved in client relationships, strategy, priorities, and quality. Clients are never passed off to an anonymous account manager who doesn't understand their business.
